About AyushPet

The AyushPet Mission

AyushPet provides holistic, veterinarian formulated products which blend the wisdom of Ayurveda with the benefits of modern science. We believe the health of our pets mirrors that of the environment, so we are committed to practices that support the vitality of the land our plants grow in.

Our herbs are grown and harvested in the pristine environment of the Himachal Pradesh region of India, which is the natural habitat of most Ayurvedic herbs. From seed to market, close attention is paid to the health and development of each plant to ensure superior potency and quality. Our robust, organically grown plants provide optimal support for your pet’s health throughout their life.

the beginnings of ayushpet

Over three decades ago our founders, the Sodhi brothers, were on a mission to find high-quality herbal supplements to offer in their naturopathic clinic based in the Pacific Northwest. They purchased raw materials in India, but upon analysis, found they were unfit for human use. To ensure the purity of their products, they decided to buy their own farms, where they could oversee every step of the process, from seed to harvest. They built an ISO and GMP certified facility to process, extract and thoroughly test their organically grown herbs to ensure the highest potency and purity.

AyushPet FAQ

What does ayurveda have to offer my pet?

Ayurvedic herbs and healing modalities for animals have been used for thousands of years, with a proven track record of safety and efficacy. Historically, Salihotra was the first to be credited as an animal healer when he wrote Ayurvedic Materia Medica in Veterinary Medicine (approx. 3rd Cent. BC), dedicated to animal welfare and treatment. The first recorded veterinary hospital was opened by King Ashoka in 1463 BC and used Ayurvedic botanicals.

What makes ayushpet products stand apart?

Our products stand apart by utilizing standardized extracts of Ayurvedic herbs, which is very uncommon for Indian herbs. AyushPet uses advanced herbal extraction methods to obtain maximum levels of active principles, as well as full spectrum extracts.

We use extracts over raw, powdered herbs because extracts provide the benefits of the herbs in the most efficient way while maintaining the purity.

where are ayushpet products manufactured?

AyushPet herbal products are manufactured in the United States using plants grown on partner farms and processed in our state-of-the-art, ISO certified facility in Himachal Pradesh, India. Our team of scientists and doctors oversee the entire process, ensuring our strict adherence to GMP standards, producing products which are pure, potent, and fresh for the best health of your pet.

What is ayushpet's commitment to sustainability?

Ayush Pet has been committed to a sustainable business model from the beginning. We continue to invest in the organic farming methods of our growers and educate villagers in sustainable wildcrafting practices, helping to ensure the viability of these important plants for future generations. From the care given to the growing of the herbs, our commitment to fair wages for our workers in fields and factories, to our support of surrounding communities, AyushPet is committed to having a positive impact wherever we do business. At AyushPet, we believe that the care we take in everything we do shows in our products.

Tips for administering Ayushpet

AyushPet offers the highest quality products for your pet’s health. It’s important to administer these products properly in order to get the maximum benefits.

Guidelines for best results include: introducing positive rewards (tasty treats) and not mixing herbs into the food. A product like Boswellia has a very aromatic, tongue-tingling taste — it’s best to conceal it in treats or directly administer into your pet’s throat.

When to use drops vs capsules

  • Drops can be a better choice for smaller and younger pets
  • Great for pets who have trouble swallowing capsules
  • Quick absorption, bypassing the the digestive process for pets with weak digestion
  • Easily mix into peanut butter, wet or dry food, or other treats

Advantages Of Drops: Preserved in a glycerin base, drops are milder tasting and easy to dispense and Dosage is easily adjusted, according to pet’s need
