Our recipe begins with a full cup of papaya, a fruit containing the enzymes papain and chymopapain, two of which are known to assist in digesting proteins. Banana joins the party for its easily digestible carbohydrates that are gentle enough to help keep you energized. Meanwhile, sweetness and tartness come in the form of pineapple that also lends fiber to prevent constipation and promote regularity. In addition, pineapple contains bromelain, an enzyme known to support the pancreas and its regulation of digestive enzymes. This smoothie is made with a base of coconut water to supply plenty of hydration while also assisting digestion. Ginger provides a bit of a kick, not only to the flavor but in kicking the digestion process up a notch while also promoting saliva flow, which is also essential in the initial stages of healthy digestion!

At this point, you might think you’re set by why not introduce a powerhouse of digestive support in the form of our Triphala drops? Triphala is a powerful herbal solution used widely in Ayurveda to support digestion and healthy elimination.  Give this Tropical Digestive Smoothie a try and nourish your gut to help you feel balanced and at ease.
