Recipe: Khichri


  • 1/2 Cup of rice
  • 1/2 cup of mung bean split
  • 1/2 ts of ginger
  • 1/2 ts of cumin
  • 1/2 ts black pepper
  • 1/4 ts of salt
  • 4 cups of water
  • 1-2 TS of ghee

Cooking Time: 15 minutes
Serving: 4

Mix all the above ingredients except cumin and cook for 30-40 minutes in a cooking pan. This will come out to be thin mong bean and rice soup. In a separate pan add ghee and cumin. Let cumin pop and then put in your khichri recipe.
